about
My special thanks to my friend Isabel Thottam, who's poetry is the lyrics to Hide and Seek. I was reading through her notes on Facebook (where she would post her writings) and I found a particular poem I liked and asked her if I could try to make a song of it. The result was Hide and Seek, a song that which we were both pleased with. Please enjoy.
lyrics
Well, did you lose yourself out there, hidden in reality
where I cease to exist, blinded by the light?
Did you find someone else among the wannabes to sing
all the words I never speak? Tell me dear,
Am I right?
Run along and hide, I'll be the seeker
Searching far and wide, to get to where you are.
Well, what's so great about the city?
Where the cars never stop and the lights are never off.
Do you feel the music in you? Do you feel me falling faster?
Do you close your ears at my call, is this what you
wanted after all, after all?
Run along and hide, I'll be the seeker
Searching far and wide, to get to where you are.
If I cannot find you, will you lend a hand?
I said, will you lend a hand?
Now, this is my vindication
I'm setting myself free
Don't drop a tear on my name
I'm opening my eyes
Don't be so sad love,
it was only just a game.
But its never just a game.
Run along and hide, I'll be the seeker
Searching far and wide, to get to where you are.
If I cannot find you, will you lend a hand?
I said, will you lend a hand?
